Dan Naturman is a fast-talking, slick salesman of a comic whose material jabs at society’s quirks and his hapless track record in relationships. His distinctive voice is a throwback to the talent of the early 60’s. GET OFF MY PROPERTY is his new CD. It’s tremendously funny and smart as the track below illustrates.

“They sprung the internet on us. No one saw the internet coming. That was a surprise to everybody. Back the 70’s and 80’s, we knew there were going to be cellphones... Nobody even knew they were working on the internet. Which is why you never saw the internet on Star Trek. Star Trek takes place in the future. Where was the internet? You never heard Captain Kirk say, ‘Spock, get me the coordinates to Ceti-Alpha 5.’ ‘I’m googling that now, Captain. We’re getting a message from the Romulan commander. Surrender or be destroyed immediately. LOL!” – Dan Naturman

Jim David’s LIVE FROM JIMVILLE is the New York
comic at his best. The veteran headliner brings a swath of wisdom draped
in his usual cosmopolitan attitude. He does a priceless bit on Martha Stuart decorating(‘I don’t care where you put the fucking pillows!) and the track below on the civilians he meets on tour.

People are strange to me on the street. A woman came up to me and said, ‘Excuse me. I’ve seen you. You’re somebody. Who are you?’ I said, ‘Jim David.’ ‘No that’s not it.’ I said, ‘Well, when you find out would you let me know?’”

Christoper Moore has a new book out. The comic novelist takes on Shakespeare with a new take on King Lear in FOOL. If you like your comedy to come from the perspective of a bawdy 13th century court jester, this is the one for you. I am always shocked when speaking to fans of comedy or comedians who don’t know Moore’s work. He is far and away the funniest novelist this nation has to offer. If you haven’t read LAMB or DIRTY JOB, a couple of his better known works, get all three this weekend and treat yourself.
